Thanks to our recent success in the Haringey Cross Country championships, Highgate Primary athletes were awarded the opportunity to represent the borough of Haringey in a national competition. We were very proud to have eight children from our school, out of a team of ten, running for Haringey.
The relay race took place at Parliament Hill, Hampstead and Team Haringey finished second overall, winning a silver medal, only losing to an athletics club from Leicestershire. Team Haringey finished first in London, after narrowly beating Camden in the home straight. Well done to all the athletes who took part in what was an historic day.
