Get Up & GoWhat a successful first term for ‘Get up & Go’, our free, before school, fitness to music sessions for all the family. A huge thank you to John for motivating us all and helping us become fitter and healthier. With obesity and inactivity in children a growing issue, parents are the greatest role models for any child. Exercising with your children in the morning really is a great way to reinforce the importance of being active and healthy. So far this year over 100 people have taken part in morning sessions.

Just before Christmas, our Get up & Go-ers were very excited to be joined by GB sprinter, Bianca Williams, who later in the day presented children with certificates. The first session in the Spring Term will be Tuesday 10th January; a perfect way to get fit in the New Year and help prepare us for the Family Centre Fun Run!

Get Up & Go even featured in the Ham & High on 29th December (page 10), after James Scott, the Education Editor for the Ham & High joined us for Get Up & Go at the end of last term.
