A few weeks ago was the annual North London Choir Festival which was again held at St James’ Church, Muswell Hill.
The Middle Choir enchanted a full house with an up-beat rendition of ‘I Wanna Sing Scat’ before a beautiful version of ‘When You’re Smiling’, with lovely solos from Mia, Emmi and Freya. Everyone was delighted with the announcement that Highgate Primary had won first place.
The Older Choir sang a beautifully arranged version of The Zombies hit ‘This Will Be Our Year’, which was followed by a brilliant interpretation of One Republic’s ‘Counting Stars’. Although the choir was not placed, the cheer from the crowd was incredible and they received numerous compliments. Well done to all the children for working extremely hard and performing so well.
We are all very much looking forward to the Summer Evening Music Concert on Wednesday 3rd June. We hope to see as many of you as possible for this special evening.
