Last week families from our fantastic community came together to celebrate the completion of our playgrounds. Transforming a grey, tarmac-dominated landscape into the beautiful, green grounds we have today has taken several years, a lot of hard work, incredible dedication and untold generosity from parents, staff, the PSA team, local businesses and experts, as well as several Trusts and Foundations.
We were delighted to be joined by some of our supporters including the Mayor of London Greener City Fund, the Wembley Stadium Trust and the CSDS Foundation, as well as Catherine West MP and Lucy Jenkins, the playground designer and former parent, for a fun, relaxed evening in the sunshine.
Our playgrounds, which now include an outdoor stage, a peace garden, green walkway, climbing wall, adventure trail, mini astro football pitch and netball court, give all our children and community an inspiring space to grow, learn and play. The grounds are surrounded by trees and plants which form a natural enclosure and play a healthy role in developing awareness and love for our green environment.
We have created a sustainable, inclusive, environmentally friendly space to be loved by the school and the whole community for many generations to come. Creating memories and fuelling imaginations.
We would like to thank everyone who has played their part. As you can see, it’s been an almighty team effort…
The renovation of our playgrounds would not have happened without you.
