As part of our Black History Month celebrations, Sharren Grey from the Steel Pan Agency led a vey special assembly this week in which the whole school was mesmerised by the sounds and energy of the steel pans. Over the next two days, the children from Highgate Primary and Blanche Nevile enjoyed wonderful workshops by Shareen. She helped children play together in unison to create a warm and melodic Caribbean lilt. We all had a brilliant time and both staff and children alike benefited greatly from the positive, colourful sounds reverberating through the school.
