Friday 13th November – Day 5
The disco was a huge success last night. All the children looked fantastic and they danced until dawn (well, 9.45 pm)!
This morning everyone enjoyed bushcraft and campfires before packing our bags for home.
We are sad to be leaving the magical Pendarren but we are looking forward to seeing our families. We are on our way back and should arrive about 5.00/5.15 pm. See you soon…
Thursday 12th November – Day 4
Lots of a rock climbing and abseiling today. We are very proud of all our super, brave children.
Wednesday 11th November – Day 3
All children are having a fantastic time. We are taking hundreds of photos but can only send a limited number. Letters have been handed out and the kids loved them. Dinner tonight was a very delicious pasta bolognaise with garlic bread and chocolate cake for pudding. The quiz was great fun and every one who wanted to, visited the tuck shop. Weather is looking rather wonderful for Thursday!
Tuesday 10th November – Day 2
The first night went well, with the children and adults all enjoying much needed sleep after a busy first day. This morning we were up and about early for a big breakfast of cereal, toast, bacon and eggs before the daily room inspection by our Pendarren group leaders. It was a mostly dry morning and some of us went off to Raglan castle, some canoeing and others on zip wires and down coal mines.
We are amazed by the beautiful views and are loving hearing the sheep outside the house… First impressions? We love Pendarren!
Here’s a glimpse of our film night…
Monday 9th November – Day 1
It has been a wonderful start to the week in Wales and the weather has been kind to us so far. Once lunch was over and we had been introduced to our Pendarren group leaders, we got into our groups to explore the fields and woods around the Centre before unpacking suitcases and settling into our rooms. Lots of excitement in the air. We had a hearty dinner of pizza and everyone helped with a rota of duties. We settled down in good time to chat in our rooms about our day before sleep.
