You can help support us in many different ways…
Come and enjoy our fabulous events throughout the year.
We are signed up to Easyfundraising who have over 2,700 well known retailers including Amazon, John Lewis, eBay, Next and Tesco which all donate a percentage of what you spend to Highgate Primary and Blanche Nevile School Association. You don’t pay any extra but the retailers donate a percentage of what you spend.
If you would like to donate for nothing, please sign up as soon as possible. It’s quick and easy, just click here and follow the instructions.
Amazon has its own donation scheme called Amazon Smile which gives a proportion of the amount spent to charity every time you shop via the site. To sign up visit Amazon Smile and login with your existing Amazon login details, you can then choose Highgate Primary from the list of charitable organisations and then shop as normal. It may be helpful to bookmark smile.amazon.co.uk as you need to shop via this page to generate the donations.
With Spring gardening on the horizon, we are delighted to let you know that both Alexandra Palace Garden Centre and Sunshine Garden Centre have offered to support Highgate Primary by donating £20 worth of garden centre vouchers to the school for every £100 spent by the school community.
What should I do?
If you shop at either garden centre, please keep your receipts and put them in the Garden Centre Receipts box in Reception. The PSA will then collect the receipts monthly and co-ordinate with the garden centres.
Restrictions
The garden centres will not accept receipts that are more than a year old and they do not accept receipts for gift voucher purchases.
We will keep you posted as to how much is raised and how the funds are spent to make our school an even greener place.
Thank you to the PSA for organising these partnerships and many thanks to all of you for your generous support.
A campaign to maintain and treasure our beautiful outdoor stage.
Donate a book to the school library and your child’s name will be inscribed on the library wall.
If you are thinking of changing to a green energy supplier, please look at Octopus Energy. For every customer that joins via the link above they will donate £50 to the school.
We have numerous different opportunities to volunteer at Highgate Primary, including helping at an event, giving inspiring talks to the children and/or staff, or even lending a hand in the allotment, the art studio or the library.
There has long been a children’s Green Council and last year the Parents’ Green Council was established. The aim is to support the children, school and PSA to become greener. For example, food waste is now recycled both in school and at PSA events and parents planted 100 trees (donated by Octopus Energy) in the grounds during the summer term. If you are keen to help on the school allotment, fundraise, encourage recycling, have professional expertise in this area or would like to help the school become even greener the Green Council would love to hear from you.
If you would like to know more, or would like to join, please email highgategreencouncil@gmail.com.
